This is a scene from the Mahabharata depicting King Nala and his beloved Queen Damayanti who was renowned for her faithfulness and loyalty to her husband. Though they lived very long ago in a different Yuga this couple is still cited at traditional Vedic weddings as an example of a good husband and faithful wife.
